LRCS Announces New Board Members
Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS) announces two new members have joined its volunteer Board of Directors. Captain Matthew Canfield of the Laconia Police Department and Laura Main of Laconia are the newest members of this governing board – a representative body of the communities and consumers served and the services offered by LRCS.
Captain Canfield is a career law enforcement officer in his 17th year with the Laconia Police Department having previously served in Meredith and Center Harbor. Canfield is a strong proponent of community policing and understands the importance of being involved and integrated into the community at large. “I am familiar with many of the programs and services offered by LRCS and look forward to becoming involved in leadership and gaining a deeper understanding. I also look forward to making a positive impact by bringing my experience and influence with the Laconia PD to the table. It is a great opportunity to build stronger community. I jumped at the chance to serve,” stated Canfield.
As a recipient of services from the Agency, Laura Main is familiar with LRCS from a consumer viewpoint. A resident of Laconia, Laura enjoys her work at Taylor Community and is pleased to be a new member of the board. Laura looks forward to learning more and helping LRCS by giving back.
LRCS Executive Director, Chris Santaniello commented “We welcome Matthew and Laura to the Board of Directors. They join a board whose members not only fulfill their governance roles and obligations, but contribute their time, talent, knowledge and experiences enriching all we do here at LRCS to advance our goals and mission.”
