Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS) announces two new members have joined its volunteer Board of Directors. Captain Matthew Canfield of the Laconia Police Department and Laura Main of Laconia are the newest members of this governing board – a representative body of the communities and consumers served and the services offered by LRCS.

Captain Canfield is a career law enforcement officer in his 17th year with the Laconia Police Department having previously served in Meredith and Center Harbor. Canfield is a strong proponent of community policing and understands the importance of being involved and integrated into the community at large. “I am familiar with many of the programs and services offered by LRCS and look forward to becoming involved in leadership and gaining a deeper understanding. I also look forward to making a positive impact by bringing my experience and influence with the Laconia PD to the table. It is a great opportunity to build stronger community. I jumped at the chance to serve,” stated Canfield.
