Legislative Advocacy

This Week in Legislative Advocacy

Join us for a legislative advocacy event on Wednesday,           April 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at LRCS – Laconia office.

Join the Lakes Region Community Services Family Support Council for an evening of collaboration, training, support and testimony writing.  Attendees will receive the tools and support to write their own letter of testimony in opposition to the proposed NH budget as passed by the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

The New Hampshire State Budget proposal is now being considered by the New Hampshire Senate.  Advocates across the state have the opportunity to share their concerns on the proposed cuts to developmental disability services in the form of written testimony and by attending the Senate Budget Hearing in early May.

Your LRCS Family Support Council members and Legislative Liaison Carrie Duran (carrie.duran@lrcs.org) will be on hand to support our individuals, staff and families at this event so you can have a written letter completed and ready to submit.  Please RSVP to abigail.barton@lrcs.org your attendance and if any accommodations are needed and of any dietary restrictions.   We look forward to seeing you!
