Lakes Region Community Services is proud to be partnering with New Futures on the Empowered Families Advocacy Program!
Join a supportive community of New Hampshire families learning to create real policy change through effective advocacy skills.
The series includes six two-hour sessions:
October 14: Connecting with New Futures and Other Advocates
November 12: Advocacy 101: An overview of the legislative process and advocacy methods
December 9: The Power of a Personal Story
January 13: Building Successful Connections and Self-Care
February 10: Confidence Building and Public Speaking
March 10: Get Together with Experienced Advocates and Legislators
What You’ll Learn:
Become a confident advocate:
- Tell Your Story – Learn to share your family’s experiences in ways that influence policymakers
- Master Advocacy Skills – Practice testifying, writing letters to editors, and communicating with legislators
- Navigate the State House – Understand how NH government works and how to engage effectively
- Build Lasting Connections – Join a network of families committed to positive change
- Practice Self-Care – Learn strategies for sustainable advocacy
