Lakes Region Community Services Leaders Erin Pettengill and Carol Stone Honored at Statewide Conference
Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS) is proud to announce that two of its leaders, President & CEO Erin Pettengill and Family Resource Center Community Collaborator/Newborn Navigator Carol Stone, were honored by the Family Resource Center Network of New Hampshire at the Family Support in Practice: Care, Connection & Relationship Conference, held at the Lake Estate on Winnisquam on Friday, April 3, 2026.
These statewide recognitions highlight LRCS’s commitment to collaboration, family-centered leadership, and strengthening systems of support for families across New Hampshire.
Erin Pettengill received the Network Spirit Award, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional collaboration, generosity, and a deep commitment to building strong, connected systems. Throughout her leadership, Pettengill has consistently prioritized partnership, supporting colleagues across organizations, sharing resources and expertise, and strengthening the broader Family Resource Center network.
Her leadership has been especially impactful during times of transition, where her steady, relationship-driven approach has helped foster trust, stability, and continued growth across the network. Now serving as President & CEO of LRCS, Pettengill continues to lead with a clear philosophy: that strong systems are built through collaboration, connection, and shared purpose.
Carol Stone was honored with the Family Voice Champion Award, recognizing her exceptional dedication to elevating family voice and lived experience as essential components of program design, advocacy, and decision-making.
Stone’s work at LRCS reflects a deep commitment to ensuring families are not only supported but empowered as leaders and partners. Through her leadership, families are actively engaged in shaping programs and services through initiatives such as the Family Leadership Council, legislative engagement opportunities, and family-centered events. Her strength-based, relationship-focused approach has created sustainable opportunities for families to lead, contribute, and influence meaningful change.
“Together, Erin and Carol represent the very best of LRCS,” said Carrie Duran, Advocacy & Community Engagement Coordinator. “Their leadership reflects our core values; collaboration, respect for lived experience, and a deep commitment to strengthening families and communities. Their impact extends far beyond our organization and is felt across the entire state.”
The conference, Family Support in Practice: Care, Connection & Relationship, brought together family support professionals from across New Hampshire to strengthen partnerships and highlight best practices in family-centered care.
LRCS celebrates both Pettengill and Stone for their outstanding contributions and the lasting impact they continue to make in the lives of families and communities.
