Family Resource Center Earns Redesignation

The Family Resource Center of Central New Hampshire is proud to announce its designation as a Family Resource Center of Quality (FRC-Q) by the New Hampshire Wellness and Primary Prevention Council (WPPC).

The Family Resource Center of Central New Hampshire, a program of Lakes Region Community Services, serves families throughout the Lakes Region and central New Hampshire by providing education, support, resources, and opportunities that strengthen families and build resilient communities. Through parent education, family leadership development, support groups, kinship caregiver resources, community events, and connections to essential services, the Family Resource Center empowers families to thrive.

The Center’s work is guided by the belief that strong families create strong communities. By partnering with parents, caregivers, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, the Family Resource Center helps families navigate challenges, build protective factors, and access the support they need to achieve their goals.

This designation as a Family Resource Center of Quality reflects the Center’s ongoing commitment to excellence, family-centered practices, accessibility, and meaningful family engagement in all aspects of service delivery.

The FRC-Q designation recognizes The Family Resource Center of Central New Hampshire for its commitment to building family strengths and fostering community connections. Over the past year, the organization completed a rigorous process that included self-assessment, input from families and community partners, an on-site review, and submission of a comprehensive application to the WPPC.

For Family Resource Centers across New Hampshire, the process of seeking designation as an FRC-Q has proven to be both affirming and insightful—helping staff reflect on their work, engaging boards of directors in a deeper understanding of family support, and reinforcing for families that they are receiving services of the highest quality.

The Family Resource Center of Central New Hampshire is one of fourteen Family Resource Centers in New Hampshire to earn this designation, which may be renewed every three years.
