A Half Century of Serving the Community
As a new year is ushered in, we here at LRCS are getting ready to party all year long…in 2025 we will celebrate a
half century of serving the community!
It is humbling to reflect on the leadership, employees, volunteers, individuals and families that have diligently worked over the past 50 years to build this organization. While we may have deep roots in developmental disabilities & acquired brain disorder services, we have evolved to be essential partners for individuals seeking those services as well as many more individuals and families!
With the additions over the years of a Family Resource Center and services for aging adults through the Home Assist Program, LRCS has evolved into a thriving, expansive non-profit, providing services from birth through the lifespan throughout the greater Lakes Region and Plymouth areas and beyond.
So, what do the next fifty years have in store? As we begin a year long strategic planning project, we need to hear from you! Face-to-face conversations with our stakeholders generate rich connections and valuable insight to how we are doing in fulfilling our mission.
As we ring in the New Year, please consider giving me a ring (or an e-mail!) I have a New Year’s goal to sit down with 50 stakeholders as we celebrate our 50 years. If you are an individual, family member, community member or partner, employee, anyone interested in who we are and what we do, and how we should step into future services together, I would love to take you to coffee, invite you in-to my office, meet you where you are at, and listen.
I wish a happy and healthy new year for you, and hope to hear from you soon!
