2019 Miles for Smiles 5K Sets a Standard for 2020

Approximately 250 runners and walkers lined up at 9:00 am for the 9th Annual Miles for Smiles 5K Community Walk/Run in June of 2019. In one of its best years for attendance, Miles for Smiles continues to grow in its success. Participants of all ages and skill levels came from around the Lakes Region to raise funds for a great cause – to provide access to dental care for adults with disabilities served by Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS).
LRCS is looking forward to hosting the event again on Saturday, May 30th, 2020, with hopes to exceed its participation numbers yet again. “We are thrilled to bring back this community-based, family-friendly race for its 10th year,” said Race Director Emily Ferrer. “From race participants to the Health Care providers that sponsor the race, everyone has a great time!”

The 2020 course will remain the same with its starting line at Smith Bridge Rd. in Plymouth. Professionally timed by RaceWire, each runner will receive a chipped bib and a race finish photo emailed to them at the end of the race. Keep an eye out for registration, as the online sign-up will open in March.
