‘North Shore Acappella’ Concert Supports Local Domestic Violence Shelters

North Shore Acapella Benefit Concert

Temple B’nai Israel is hosting its second of 2016 and sixth since its inception, “We Care” fund-raising gala on November 19, 2016 at New Hampton School’s McEvoy Theater. The ‘We Care’ concert series brings wonderful musical  talent to the area and supports worthy local nonprofits. LRCS has been the recipient of We Care concert proceeds for three of the first six concerts. “The efforts of Temple B’nai Israel’s We Care committee represents what is best in our community,  a nonprofit raising funds to support other nonprofits. I know from experience that this will be fabulous concert,” commented Joanne Piper Lang, LRCS Director of Development.

This latest event showcases North Shore Acappella, featured in NBC’s The Sing Off.   All proceeds from the event will support New Beginnings without Violence and Abuse of Laconia and Voices Against Violence of Plymouth, domestic violence shelters in the region.

For over 30 years, North Shore Acappella has excited audiences throughout the country adding an experienced blend of harmony, rhythm, and tempo to songs from the 60’s and 70’s, as well as from the 40’s, doo-wop and Bruno Mars. The special art of delivering music without instrumental accompaniment is what North Shore Acappella is all about. The award-winning group offers a continuously fresh repertoire comprised with hundreds of popular hits. North Shore Acappella was featured on NBC’s The Sing Off and has appeared as the opening act for The Temptations, The Platters, Ben E. King, Johnny Maestro, Al Jarreau, Roberta Flack, Frankie Valli, Gene Pitney, and Jay Leno.

The McEvoy Theater at New Hampton School, located less than 5 minutes from Exit 23 off of Interstate 93 at 70 Main Street, New Hampton, makes it convenient for everyone in the Lakes Region and Central NH to attend this special event. Tickets are $27.50 per person which includes delicious snacks and desserts which can be enjoyed at 7 PM.  The concert, with open seating, begins at 7:30PM.
