NH Senate Bill 47, sponsored by Senator Andrew Hosmer of Laconia, was signed into law by Governor Maggie Hassan on May 7. The new law prohibits the practice of paying employees with disabilities less than the federal minimum wage. Representing LRCS, John Eastman and Michael Moore who are employed at AutoServ of Tilton, attended the law signing as guests of Senator Hosmer and enjoyed the opportunity of meeting the governor.

“Disabled workers  deserve the same dignity, fairness and employment opportunities as everyone else,” stated Hosmer. I am proud that all Senators voted in support of that belief.”
