Chef Kevin Halligan of The Local Eatery prepares a course for a Wine Release Dinner hosted by Hermit Woods Winery of Meredith. Chef Halligan and Hermit Woods will both be participating at Lakes Region Uncorked on Nov. 3 at Church Landing to benefit Lakes Region Community Services. .

This year’s Uncorked event, to be held Nov. 3 at Church Landing in Meredith, is becoming an even more special occasion.

“Local wines, beer, meads, ciders and spirits and ‘farm to table’ produce are always on the menu at the Local Eatery restaurant.  As with Chef Halligan, a 2002 graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, and long-time Laconia resident, many Uncorked vendors support each other in their use of high quality, regionally sourced items,” commented Joanne Piper Lang, LRCS Development Director.

CELEBRITY CHEF

Chef Kevin Halligan, Owner and Executive Chef of Laconia Local Eatery, will prepare his original and delicious culinary creations at 5:30 and 6:30 PM. ‘Celebrity Chef’ Ticket holders will enjoy a special cooking and tasting session, pairing fine foods with wines and spirits produced by Uncorked vendors. Seating is limited and a separate ticket is required.

SILENT AUCTION

As this event has grown, so has the Uncorked silent auction. “We are grateful for the support we have gotten from businesses near and far. Impressive and unique items and experiences have been donated this year including a luxurious 7- Day Cruise for two on Holland America Line; Disney World Park Hopper Passes; 2 Round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines; golf foursome at Candia Woods; Boston Red Sox autographed baseball; overnight at a Mill Falls hotel; restaurant and retail gift certificates; lift tickets; private tasting tours; pontoon boat rental on Lake Winnipesaukee, gift vouchers, cord wood and much more!,” noted Shannon Robinson Beland, volunteer member of the Uncorked Planning Committee.

WALL OF WINE

The ‘Wall of Wine’ Raffle has grown as well. Uncorked guests pull a cork to get a bottle generously donated by individuals, supporters and vendors. Many of the bottles on the Wall which comprise an amazing collection retail for much more than the raffle ticket donation. The popular Wall is expected to sell out!

Uncorked tickets are on sale now! and can be purchased at TICKETS or call Joanne Piper Lang at 603-524-8811.
